Religious stained glass has an incredible history in churches, cathedrals, and temples around the world. Over the centuries, different styles of stained glass were popular, partly dependent upon the type of glass that was available and the new developments in how glass was made over the ages.

Religious stained glass rose to immense popularity in European churches in the middle ages. Some of this incredible antique church and cathedral stained glass is still intact today, although it’s likely been restored a time or two.

All of the leadlight windows manufactured and designed by Pater Leadlights are completely custom designed. This ensures that each window made will be unique to that space and unlike any other. It also allows for the client to incorporate their own distinct message within the design of the stained glass.

Whatever images, colours, Bible stories or religious depictions most speak to and inspire the congregation, the Board, the pastor, priest, or minister can be made into beautiful reality as the stunning centrepiece of the building or windows reflecting light and colour both inside and outside.
